ONE WATCH. A SERIES OF DECISIONS.

Jeff's Journey

This is not a story about designing a perfect watch face in one sitting. It is a story about adding signal, removing noise, noticing what matters, changing it, and gradually discovering what “mine” actually means.

THE WATCH NOW

Ten things earned their place.

The numbered watch is an index to the story. The text beside it is deliberately loaded from jeff1.txt, so the story can evolve without rebuilding this page.

The watch face that started Jeff's journey

WHERE IT STARTED

The face that started it all.

Before Quiet and Busy, before the current feature set, there was this. The interesting part is not whether the first face was good or bad. It gave us something real to react to.

That reaction — not a perfect specification — is what began the sequence.

THE POINT OF THE STORY

Personalization is a sequence of decisions about signal, noise, usefulness — and sometimes pure delight.

Jeff's watch is only one example. The process is intended to discover a different answer for each wearer.
